"ASAN Kadr" career center held 2nd Career Fair at Baku Higher Oil School

On March 12, 2019 “ASAN Kadr” career center of the ASAN Volunteers School and Baku Higher Oil School jointly held 2nd Career Fair.

The event was attended by Chairman of the State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ulvi Mehdiyev, BHOS Rector, Elmar Gasimov and managers of local and international companies and organizations.

In his welcome address, Rector Elmar Gasimov emphasized that the Career Fair, which is conducted a second year in a row, brings positive changes to the lives of many young Azerbaijani citizens. In his words, it not only brings together top representatives looking for new staff members and young specialists looking for employment opportunities. The Career fair is a vivid example of the youth-focused and socially important project, which aims to address needs of young generation, said the Rector.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Chairman of the State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ulvi Mehdiyev noted that “ASAN Kadr” Career Center helps hundreds of young people to find vacancies at companies operating in Azerbaijan and apply for jobs. Chairman of the State Agency expressed his gratitude to the BHOS management for their continuous support in conducting the Career Fair. 

The Career Fair aimed at expanding the employment among youth, gave the visitos an opportunity to meet with HR specialists from various enterprises, learn their employment policies, recruitment procedures and available vacancies.

The main objective of the Career Fair is to help and increase employment opportunities for ASAN volunteers, including well-educated, capable, experienced young people with a working potential. Moreover, it is aimed to provide employment opportunities for citizens in public and private entities, as well as to create conditions for enterprises to provide information on available job vacancies.

Representatives of more than 80 companies attended the exhibition organized with the support of “Coca-Cola” company.

Professional training of young citizens of the country is a key activity of the “ASAN Kadr” Career Center, which is established within ASAN Volunteers School. By now, 1,100 young people have been employed after the graduation through the "ASAN Kadr" career centre.
