Afghanistan applies “ASAN service” model

On July 12-13, 2016, a delegation led by the Chairman of the State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Inam Karimov is paying a visit to the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan.

On July 12, Afghan president's palace hosted a signature ceremony of a  Memorandum of Understanding regarding the establishment of progressive mechanism in the field of public service delivery. A Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Afghanistan. The aim of the Memorandum is to establish a public service delivery mechanism in Afghanistan based on Azerbaijani model “ASAN service”.

The signing ceremony was attended by the Afghan ministers, MPs and other senior officials. After the ceremony, there was held a press conference. Chairman of the State Agency Inam Karimov told about the friendly and partnership relations between Azerbaijan and Afghanistan.  He delivered wide information about the recent reforms implemented in the field of improvement of public administration and modernization conducted by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan and highlighted the activities of “ASAN service” as a part of these reforms.

Afghan Finance Minister E. Hakimi expressed his satisfaction with the selection of Azerbaijani model in the field of public service delivery and his assuredness with its successful application in near years.

Should note, that Afghanistan has already been established the similar organization with the same name (www.asan.gov.af).

Later, after the signing ceremony of Memorandum of Understanding, parties were invited to the presidential palace by the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan Mohammad Ashraf Ghani.
